Built with new technology in a pantadome construction method.
The world's first facility using precast concrete panels to erect side walls and roof simultaneously. The building was built to commemorate Nara city's 100th anniversary. The geometric roof incorporates modern and traditional architectural elements, including ibushi-style tiles, This monumental building has several halls: a Main Hall for conventions and a Harmony Hall for chamber music performances.
